OUR HISTORY
The golf club Föhrenwald Wr. Neustadt was founded in May 1968 and opened for gaming in the same year.
The GCF is one of the 15 oldest golf courses in Austria. In terms of sport, the GCF is successful. 5 men’s teams (general, mid-amateurs, seniors, masters seniors & super seniors) and 3 women’s teams (general, mid-amateurs & seniors) compete for the titles in Austria and Lower Austria. We are currently providing two national team players.
The Föhrenwald Golf Club is more than ever worth a visit. We offer you a sports facility where you feel good. You will find a pleasant atmosphere with a high level of service, very good quality of space and a good level of sport. The GC Föhrenwald is natural and an oasis of calm. Our nature-protected ground squirrels cavort on the fairways.
Golf architect Jeff Howes left his Canadian-Irish signature here and head greenkeeper Wayne Beasley and his team of greenkeepers keep the course in good shape. From 2005 to 2012 the GCF was the venue for the European Ladies Tour.
In August 2008 the new clubhouse was opened. The motto is still “world champion of comfort”. In our Föhrenwald restaurant we will also spoil you with culinary delights after the game.
For the comfort of our players, we have a caddy house with cloakrooms and parking spaces for the caddies. A covered driving range in the middle of the forest and a 3-hole practice facility or a 3-hole short course complete the picture.
